Associated Risk Managers International (ARM) and Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. (Gallagher) have entered into a partnership relationship that significantly broadens the portfolio of products and services ARM agents can offer their clients. ARM is an international network of more than 400 independent agents who together generate more than $4 billion in property/casualty premiums annually.

This new partnership will operate under the name of ARM Partners.

ARM was founded in Indiana in 1970 to mass market commercial insurance to members of trade associations and professional organizations. It soon evolved into a marketing network that enabled independent agents to band together to solve clients needs. That evolution led to the organization’s rapid growth and expansion across the United States and abroad.

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., an international insurance brokerage and risk management services firm, is headquartered in Itasca, Illinois, has offices in seven countries and does business in more than 100 countries around the world through a network of correspondent brokers and consultants. Its stock is traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol AJG. In addition to designing customized property/casualty insurance programs for clients, Gallagher offers a broad range of risk management services, including claims and information management, risk control consulting, appraisals, security consulting and surveillance, to reduce its clients’ cost of risk. It also supports its clients in the areas of employee retirement, and health and welfare plans, including plan design, funding and administration.

Through this partnership, ARM agents now have access to Gallagher’s niche expertise and broad array of products and services, including: wholesale insurance programs; surplus lines and reinsurance brokerage capabilities; captive and rent-a-captive programs; property/casualty claims administration; benefit claims administration; benefit consulting; and an extensive network of brokers and consultants in more than 100 countries throughout the world.

ARM Partners is currently familiarizing ARM agents with the resources available through Gallagher as well as developing internal methods of tracking revenue. ARM Partners will also develop a communications system that links ARM agents and provides them with a clearinghouse of information about the products and services available through ARM Partners and Gallagher.
